Symons selected manager of BWP & Associates
Dr. William Symons has been named manager of BWP & Associates by the company’s Board of Directors.
Symons, a senior associate with the firm, is both an experienced search consultant and an experienced superintendent. His administrative career includes 19 years as a Superintendent of Schools in four districts in three states - Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. After retiring as Superintendent in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2002, he has been an Executive Search Consultant with both Harold Webb Associates and BWP & Associates. He recently completed an interim superintendent role in Alexandria, Virginia.

BWP Board of Directors member named 2009 Illinois Superintendent of Year
BWP & Associates Board of Directors member Dr. Mark R. Friedman has been named the 2009 Illinois Superintendent of the Year.
Dr. Friedman has served as superintendent of Libertyville Elementary District 70 since 1992. Before coming to Libertyville, he was assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and personnel for Lincolnwood School District 74, director of instruction for Itasca District 10, and principal of Washington Elementary School in Itasca. He began his career in education as a Chicago teacher, moving on to become a reading laboratory director in Chicago. |
